The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is a comprehensive four year public university located in southwestern Wisconsin. UWP is home to approximately 7500 students and offers academic programs in agriculture, biology, business & accounting, communication technologies, criminal justice, education, engineering, industrial technology management, liberal arts, mathematics and the sciences.

Small classes taught by professors allow students to gain hands on experience both in and out of the classroom. Additionally, students can practice the skills they have learned in the classroom and develop leadership capacity through involvement in the more than 220 student clubs and organizations.

UWP supports and promotes a variety of opportunities in the arts. The Department of Performing and Visual Arts enriches lives on campus and as the cultural center for the region. Students experience excellence in Art, Music, Theatre and Speech through 21st century curriculum, master artist level teaching, and state of the art facilities.

The Center for the Arts (CFA) provides a professional performing arts environment for students to learn about the arts through performances and classroom experience. The CFA is home to the many ensembles in the UWP academic programs, professional touring events in the Performing Arts Series, and the UWP summer stock program the Heartland Festival. Over 150 events per year are hosted in the CFA.
